The
character that fans love to hate. Zark resides in the Nerve Center of Center
Neptune, was hand-crafted ("Microfilm Mystery"), and has an annoying tendency
to tell the viewer that "everyone got out alive", or that "no one was hurt"
(and how is he suppose to know everything that is going on, anyway?). He states
that he has a preference for robot girls with red antenna ("Magnetic Attraction"),
and he attempts to sing, especially when he is taking a shower, even though
he wasn't programmed to sing ("Magnetic Attraction"). He oversees galaxy sensors,
looking for possible invaders. He also makes weather observations on Earth and
is the traffic controller for incoming spaceships approaching Earth.
He
has a long-distance radio romance going with a robot named Susan out at the
Early Warning System on Pluto. He has a pet robot dog named 1-Rover-1 to keep
him company. Mark and Princess occasionally come up to his room to visit him
and 1-Rover-1. For those of you who have been dying to know what a 'fosdic'
is, "Rescue of the Astronauts" gives the answer. It stands for: Film Optical
Sensing Device for Input to Computers.
